Ashley Freeman is a longtime mental health advocate who has been recognized as a leader in outreach to millennial and minority communities. As the manager of stakeholder outreach and engagement, Ashley develops enduring partnerships with a diverse group of outside organizations in order to advance person-centered care policies nationwide.Prior to joining Patient Advocate Foundation, Ashley served as the program associate for the Eugene Washington Engagement Awards at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. In this role, she worked to increase the meaningful involvement of patients, caregivers and clinicians throughout the research process. By building communities through engagement, her work helped patients and those who care for them make better-informed health care decisions. Ashley is a graduate of Hofstra University, where she received her bachelor’s of arts degree in broadcast journalism, and George Mason University, where she earned a master’s of public health degree. Her weekends and free time are filled with pilates classes, creating art, and exploring new cuisines.
